When transmission oil is changed in the traditional way only 25% is reclaimed / leaving behind sludge and metal shaving debris / which if left in the gearbox contaminates the new oil.
If the contaminated oil is not removed completely after successive oil changes then this may lead to possible excessive vibration / over heating and other anomalies if ignored / leading to gearbox failure.
